For your convenience, we have booked rooms at a location close to the wedding & reception venue that has the best customer service in the area. Please see below for details.
Early Travel
We know: it’s a December wedding. Right before Christmas, for goodness’ sake! Well, let me tell you about winter in Colorado: we have two! First Winter starts in September, or October; sometimes it doesn’t show til November. (That’s when you really have to watch out.) Then we get a lovely warm spell between mid-December and mid-January.
And then…Then we have Second Winter. That lasts from late January, thru February, and March…and April… and sometimes into May.
Colorado’s weather notwithstanding, some of you are traveling from climes that do not have that lovely warm spell in late December. If that is the case, and you would like to travel in a day early to make sure that a flight cancellation or delay won’t affect your attendance plans, please let us know.
We would like to pay for that extra early night, and bring you some peace of mind, as we know that a winter holiday weekend may not seem like the best idea to everyone.

La Quinta Inn

La Quinta Inn is just off Interstate I-25 through Denver. It is less than 15 minutes east of the Copper Leaf Gardens and Events Center, and a 30-minute drive from Denver International Airport. The area around the hotel has restaurants, some shopping outlets, and several parks and open spaces.
It is 30 minutes from Boulder, a mecca for granola-eaters and dog-owners alike; 50 minutes from Blackhawk/Central City if you prefer some friendly gambling; and 75 minutes from Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park, if you want to experience some wildlife in the great outdoors.
Rates
You can choose a double queen room, or a room with one king bed. The rate is the same for either room type.
We have reserved 24 rooms for four nights, from Thursday, December 20th through Sunday, December 23rd, for $71/night. If your stay will be shorter, just let them know which nights you’d like to reserve. The total price for all four nights is $322.60.

La Quinta Inn’s customer service is excellent; Donny the manager is a fabulous human being. Call 303.252.9800 to reserve your room, and mention that you are attending the Lefcourt/Timberman wedding. There is no cutoff date for reserving these rooms, but of course the number of rooms at this rate is limited.
